Mad Max (1979)








Mad Max is a famous movie series directed by George Miller. The main role of Max is played by Mel Gibson, and has been credited as the film which launched his career. It was also one of the first Australian films to be successful overseas. Released in 1979, the film portrays a bleak and desolate picture of a future world where Max is forced to pit himself against motorcycle gangs and other ‘bad guys’. The movie is filmed in the beautiful and picturesque Australian outback.
