THE JOB READY PROGRAM

The program we have selected is an “Internship package”. There are two different packages : “Job Ready Plus”, which provides you with an accommodation to make your life easier, and “Job Ready Lite”.
English lessons
The English lessons of the “Business English Program” have been designed for overseas born professionals and international students who want to advance in their career – in any field – and are willing to improve their communication skills in order to enhance their performance.
Two subjects are taught, complementary within an Australian workplace context:
- English for the professional workplace : “content” or “what to say”
- Australian Business culture : “form” or “how to say it”
You will be taught reading, writing and listening skills within a business context, with a special focus on speaking and pronunciation in international workplaces. You will approach the following topics through relevant activities and projects : the language for the employment and the workplace, spoken and written literacy, presentations and negotiations.You will have 20 hours of lessons a week.
The average size of the class is of only 10 people. It guarantees you the best possible conditions for learning, as the learning is student-centered.
All students are at an intermediate level of English or above.

Internship
After the Business English Program, Performance English will place you in an Australian company for an 8 to 12 weeks internship. You may also start the internship before the end of the lessons.
An internship is a great opportunity to develop your skills in a work environment. Performance English can provide you with an internship in engineering, accounting, information technology, marketing, media, hospitality, tourism, graphic design and many other industries, as they work with some of Australia’s leading internship providers.
You will be interviewed by Performance English so that they understand you career plans before searching for a suitable host company.
Performance English will also provide assistance in finding work for those who choose to stay in Australia.
To sum up, this internship is perfect to launch a career down under, learn Business English and/or gain professional experience !
