What were you doing in your homecountry before you came to Australia ?
I was a student and then looking for a job.
Why Australia ?
I came to Australia because I wanted an English-speaking country, and to go as far as possible (and I had friends living there)…
As I couldn’t find a job in Australia from France, I decided to just come !

What sort of work did you do in Australia ? In which fields?
Marketing/Sales, Catering
Tell us about your travels
I live in Melbourne and have traveled to Queensland, New South Wales, Tasmania and New Zealand. My next trip before I go home : Western Australia.
What is the most beautiful place in Australia, according to you?
Taylors Beach in Tasmania.
But I expect a lot from my last trip to Western Australia.
What was your favourite moment/event in Australia ?
Australia Day 2010 : a big barbecue with friends, the way it should be…
A close second : AFL Grand Final 2008.
What do you think about Australians and life in Australia?
Australians are really laid-back and welcoming. They are not always very cultured, but always ready to help. The « no worries » attitude.
For how long do you intend to stay in Australia?
I am going back home in two months. I stayed a little more than two years in all.
If you were to give a piece of advice to someone coming to Australia, what would it be?
Have faith in yourself : your English skills are probably better than you think
What do you wish you knew before getting on the plane to Australia?
To be reminded that trams also run on the other side of the road…I took the wrong one and it took me fifteen minutes to realize my mistake…
Did your Australian experience change you ? How?
It made me want to travel. I also learnt to appreciate random encounters and stay open to opportunities.
If you were to do it again, what would you change ?
I would try to see more things.
