Sydney Beaches

bondi beachWhere to start?
It is a tough question in a city that has so much to offer, but Sydney’s greatest offerings has to be its beaches and the first beach to hit must be the most famous one of all: Bondi Beach.

A Mecca for surfers, swimmers, and hot bodies, Bondi Beach is a crescent moon shaped beach with growling waves and guarded by rock cliffs that ache to be captured by one more camera.
Over looked many times, but should never be forgotten, the serene evergreen tree lined Manly Beach is a most stop for any beach lover. Not as famous as Bondi Beach, but no less spectacular, Manly Beach is the quiet getaway we all dream of when life begins to stress us out and we need to leave the « real world » behind.

Opera House and Harbour Bridge

opera houseSydney’s natural beauty may be its’ beaches, but its man made beauty is just as jaw dropping and iconic.
Steps from Circular Quay sits the Sydney Opera House looking out over Sydney Harbor with its white sails at full mast in all its architectural beauty.

Situated across from the Opera House you will find the oldest section of Sydney, The Rocks, with one of the oldest pubs in Sydney, The Hero of Waterloo.

Hovering over The Rocks is the Sydney Harbor Bridge or affectionately known by locals as the coat hanger because, well, it looks like a coat hanger, but its sheer engineering magnitude makes it one of the great man made landmarks of Sydney. It also lends itself to giving off some of the best views of Sydney. If you don’t mind heights and a little walking, you can take the bridge climb experience and not only get the best view of the Opera House below your feet, but also the entire city of Sydney.

Sydney’s Nightlife

sydney nightlifeSydney’s nightlife has many options, but one of the most exciting and maybe infamous places to go for a wild night out is Kings Cross.
Kings Cross is situated in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney and is known as the red light district of Sydney.

There are brothels, strip clubs and adult shops that will catch your eye, but it is the nightclubs that will keep you in « The Cross » till late in the night or early in the morning.
Many of the nightclubs in « The Cross » stay open till 3 or 4 in the morning and some stay open past 4 in the morning. You have your choice of both dancing the night away or sitting down and having a few drinks and just doing some great people watching.

Sydney has so much to offer and so much to do that your days and nights will be filled with once and a lifetime experiences that will make both your family and friends jealous for years to come and will keep a smile on your face for just as many years.
