The Journey with Australiance: An international professional's testimony

Read the success story of Alexanie Richard-Bôle, an international profile from France who is currently a sales and support engineer after taking a break from full-time positions after studies.

How did you manage to secure the position?

As a young IT consultant in France, I wanted to develop my professional and personal project by moving and working in Sydney. Céline, a member of Australiance, listened to my project and transmitted my profile to an international company developing in Australia. The task was challenging, as I wanted to convert my working holiday visa into a sponsorship visa quickly. Thanks to Céline’s qualitative support and advice, I felt particularly ready during the job interviews. This resulted in a job offer from the company over the period of three weeks which I accepted.

How satisfied do you feel with the position we have provided for you?

I highly recommend the services of Australiance to give a boost to your job search in Australia! The position completely met, and even exceeded, my expectations. Thank you again for your exceptional service!

If you're navigating your next career move and wondering where you'll thrive most, this guide is for you. Choosing between working at a startup or a corporate organisation is more than just a career decision, it’s a lifestyle choice! At Australiance Talent, we work closely with both high-growth startups and established small-to-medium businesses across Australia, so we understand the nuances of each environment. Here’s a quick breakdown to help you weigh up your options. 💫

Struggling to connect with younger candidates, or keep them engaged after onboarding? You’re not alone. With Gen Z (born 1997–2012) becoming a major force in the workforce, startups need to evolve to attract and retain this dynamic, purpose-driven generation. By 2025, Gen Z will make up 27% of the global workforce (McKinsey), bringing with them a new set of expectations, from flexibility to purpose, growth and creativity. At Australiance, our talent service line, Australiance Talent, helps startups and SMEs across the APAC region to navigate these changes by connecting them with the next generation of high-potential talent, from interns to future team leads.

Australiance Talent supports many startups and SMEs in growing their teams across Australia and the APAC region. Today, Rosana shares her experience of how Australiance Talent assisted her journey in becoming a Marketing Intern at Fundbase.

If you’re applying for roles in Australia, whether it’s in a fast-paced startup, a growing SME, or a more traditional business, your resume is often your first real chance to make an impression. And in Australia, we like things that are clear, concise and down-to-earth. No fluff, no exaggeration, just a solid, honest summary of what you bring to the table. Here’s a guide to writing an Australian-style resume that actually gets read (and hopefully, gets you hired).

Hiring the wrong person could cost your startup hundreds of thousands or worse, your culture and momentum. In the early stages, every hire is a high-stakes decision. And in the fast-paced world of startups, where time, resources, and finances are limited, there’s no room for error. At Australiance Talent, we’ve seen firsthand how easy it is for startups to fall into common hiring traps and how costly those mistakes can be. Here are the top 5 hiring mistakes startups make, plus our tips on how to avoid them.

Congratulations! You’ve landed yourself a role at a startup. Startups have a reputation for having fast-paced environments, innovative culture and, yes, a little bit of chaos, but what’s the fun without it. Your first week can definitely be intimidating - adjusting to a small team, new faces, countless tasks and lots of learning. To help with this new step in your career journey, here’s a guide to help you brave the first week with confidence!
